Looking back at 2018 – BerkOne year in review

Serving over 500 clients in 2018

In 2018, BerkOne helped over 500 client companies, governments, school districts and other organizations with document automation software and services.  Financial services, health care, and local government represented our three largest client groups.  Other major industries included: motor vehicle dealers, utilities, professional & technical services, and gambling & recreation.

Millions of transactions

In our service business, BerkOne continued our exemplary record of large volume transaction processing while continuously meeting expected quality, service and security standards.

  • Imaged and processed 17.6 million documents and a similar volume of incoming electronic transactions.  The imaging volume was smaller than the previous two years, because we completed a multi-year project to scan an entire warehouse full of paper records for a Fortune 500 company.
  • Deposited more than $1.3 billion in lock box payments with over 90 percent deposited electronically through Check 21.
  • Printed and mailed 9 million outgoing mail pieces.
  • Handled 1.2 million complex clerical transactions involving the imaging and safekeeping of vehicle titles.
Software solutions for new industries

In our software solutions business, we finished several large workflow automation projects. We also implemented new business process automation systems in several other industries, including: real estate & property management and insurance.

Client education opportunities

We hosted several webinars on hot topics – like robotic process automation (RPA) – and about BerkOne products with specific applications – like electronics warrant issuance for law enforcement and judicial system automation.  We also hosted several region-specific lunch-and-learns.  Look for more events in 2019.

Recognized as a leading business

BerkOne received public recognition from Lehigh Valley Business on three different occasions in 2018.  First, as one of the Top Private Companies in the region.  Second, as #26 in the rankings of Fastest Growing Companies.  Third, as a Finalist for Business of the Year in 101+ Employee category.

Continued commitment to community

Finally, BerkOne supported our community through activities that inspire our employees, including Pennsylvania Special Olympics Polar Plunge, Relay for Life, American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” and Morning Star Rotary’s “Celtic Classic 5K Run”. We also held our annual Food Drive for New Bethany Ministries and our Giving Tree – which identifies employee families who may need a little extra boost at the holidays.
