Statement On Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Since 1936, BerkOne has lived by Values that place our Employees and their well-being at the heart of our business. We will stay true to that as we continue to closely monitor the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) for our business. As always, we are dedicated to doing the right thing for our employees, our clients, and our business partners in this challenging time.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and following the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Based on those recommendations, we are taking necessary and required steps designed to insure the well-being, health, and safety of our BerkOne employees.

We created a COVID-19 task force several weeks ago to develop a detailed plan in response to the virus. At that time, we encouraged all employees who can work from home to do so and hold only virtual meetings. We also postponed all non-essential visits to our facilities.

According to the guidance accompanying recent Governor’s Orders in both Pennsylvania and New York regarding business closures and stay at home restrictions, BerkOne is classified as an “essential” or “life-sustaining” business. This permits BerkOne to continue physical operations with in-person workforces. Accordingly, BerkOne’s facilities in Bethlehem, PA and Syracuse, NY will remain open and we will continue to deliver critical data processing services to our clients.

We are immensely grateful for our healthcare workers who are on the front lines. Their courage and commitment to caring for the sick and saving lives during the COVID-19 outbreak is immeasurable. For those people and their families who have suffered losses due to the virus, our hearts go out to them.
